[vorbis] use of ogg midi to control lighting desk

Hi- i'm kinda busy doing other stuff at college to read through the mailing list properly, but i read somewhere before that midi data embeded in ogg vorbis files could be used to control lighting stuff.

The lighting desk at college has a midi input to control most of the lighting functions. Its also right next to the sound desk.

So i was wondering, if it is possible to stick midi data into ogg vorbis files at the moment, once i've tracked down the manual for the lighting desk, how would i go about embedding the correct midi data into an ogg vorbis file?

and if it aint possible yet, how long till i can do such a thing?
