Interestingly, from the Lincows.com website (About section):

        Lindows.com, Inc. was started by Michael Robertson, founder and
        former CEO of MP3.com.

So they had a good beginning but it's probably gone with him.  Once you
could find AAC and VQF software on mp3,com but I don't see it now...
