If they have questions, you can encourage them to email me.  The docs
are up to date for the most part and adding support is easy.  It's just
a matter of their users convincing them that it's a worthwhile thing to
do.

Why don't you take the lead and and try contacting them and encouraging
them to add Vorbis support?  If you want some assistance from other
interested users, the advocacy at xiph.org list was created for this
purpose.
