I don't think that's particularly constructive. If you don't think
making vorbis accessible to a wider audience of developers is a good
idea then you should ask yourself 'what are YOU doing here'.. 

Anyway Firelight is correct in saying that a PS2 specific implementation
would yield a 2-3x speedup. Possibily 4 or 5 times with concurrency and
maybe some DMA. 
While its true there are Sony NDAs preventing a Vector Unit
implementation of Vorbis, a similar speedup could be obtained using the
MIPs Multimedia Extensions which are not Sony exclusive.
