[vorbis] Choosing a processor

All depends on the quality of the CD drive and how flawless you want the rip
to be.
I have a generic LG (not a high-end plextor) and I only rip using EAC
(similar to cdparanoia under Linux)
which just re-reads sectors endlessly until it's 100% sure it has a good
rip. With just a standard CD ripper
I could probably rip at 14x too, but then I'd have to deal with all the
skips and errors that can
occur because of this.
Nothing more frustrating than burning a CD of MP3s and finding out later you
have to re-rip, re-encode and re-burn
again because of potentially faulty CD rips.
Cheers,
Jacek

Ick. I can rip at about 14x and encode at about 5-7x
