This patch has been fixed and committed.
oggenc now has full support for 8 bit input (warning: you are strongly
encouraged to NOT use this - the data reduction does not make vorbis use
fewer bits, as vorbis doesn't know how many bits the input was - unless you
can only get your data in as 8 bit (why? No idea :-)).
It also (more usefully) has support for setting options on raw mode input.
So you can do streaming tricks without having to hack the source for raw
mode. I suggest someone writes (or waits for me to write) a raw-mode input
source for ices2 if they just want it for streaming, though - then you get
the encoding built-in, and it's more likely to work reliably under bad
network conditions.
