Any word from the webmasters on giving the site an interface for the
german-impaired?

Here is what the main page says in ger2english

Ogg Vorbis: Free audio codec in upwind

oggmusic.de is to promote a platform apart from on-line reviews, route data
and tape information music in - like the name already suggest - the audio
format Ogg Vorbis and new generation tape offer. The Web Site is an
initiative of the on-line music magazine realmusic.de . Since EN and
decoders are freely available with Ogg Vorbis and the use of the codec in
contrast to RealAudio and MP3 does not involve license deliveries, it offers
itself owing to quality comparable to MP3 and fast increasing spreading for
Internet radio or - to music.

Only recently the developer team of the codec completely programmed without
patented algorithms the beta 4 of the Ogg Vorbis libraries besides under BSD
license had placed, which enables the use of the codec in commercial
products. Before the codec was under the more restrictive Lesser/Library GNU
Public License (LGPL) and was not thus suitable for the commercial
application ( vza / c't)
