This is much like buying PC hardware..
Today:
Why buy AMD 850 today when you can get a 1000 cheaper tomorrow.
Tomorrow:
Why buy AMD 1000 today when you can get a 1200 cheaper tomorrow.
Wash rinse repeat.
That said, there is a point of diminishing returns where it might make sense to
wait a little bit, for Vorbis that will likely be around 1.0 or perhaps the
next service pack after that.
