Will this include only the lossless joining or will the lossy interchannel
psychoacoustics scale to many chaneels too?  You need a way to know how
will it be played (what channel goes to what speaker, what is the relative
volume of the speakers, etc.) to say anything about interchannel masking,
won't you?
