divx are AVI files with 2 streams - mpeg4 video and mpeg3 audio (which
strictly speaking, mpeg3 is illegal for avi because the frames are
variable length). i dont see why you couldnt use ogg instead of mpeg3 in
the avi (but then its not 'divx ;-)' anymore)
