[vorbis] Mathematics of Vorbis

I´ve gotta a question...

Since Vorbis uses different mathematical principles from MP3, what
are those principles? Does it rely on principles used by WMA, TQF... etc... or
it has a brand new mathematical algorithm for enconding?

Are there anyone who understands the math behind Ogg around here? I´d like
to exchange ideias about that...e
