[vorbis] DIY hardware player -> Vorbis??

Hello all,
I ran across this link from slashdot and it looks like it has a lot of
potential:

It is a built-it-yourself kit project for an mp3 player. Although there
are still some things that need to be refined, this could be one path to
getting a cheap Vorbis hardware player. As I said, it is currently set
up for mp3 files, but the firmware is supposedly open-source, soooo....
Is anyone interested in writing the necessary software to upgrade this
puppy to become a Vorbis player? This would be very cool, because even
if future players support Vorbis, this would hopefully be a good way to
get one cheaply. Comments?
