[vorbis] The OGG Extension...

I'm new to the discuss list so please excuse me if I ask an oft repeated
question. I am curious if the Vorbis compression applications will support
multithreading for SMP boxes to allow for more rapid compression of files.
Seems reasonable but wanted to confirm. And is GIMP able to access the
compressed video version ?
