At the moment it's vaporware because me plate is very very full of other 
things that need to get done first.

If anyone else wants to make an 'official' command line tool, more power to 
you.  I am however going to insist on portability out of the starting gate.

I have to admit I use Vorbize and actually rather like it (simple, gets the 
job done), but it can't be an official encoder until it's more portable.  
Ditto of OggEnc although Mike seems to think it's closer (I haven't looked at 
the code yet).

So until then, the 'submitted tool deathmatch' continues ;-)  

(BTW, the header code in the old ogg player is also perfectly portable)
