Because there isn't really an 'official' ogg encoder? If at some point
Monty decides to bless one of the existing encoders as official (originally
typoed as oggicial ;) so be it.
Anyway, right now OggEnc is too buggy to replace vorbize. However, some
time today I'll actually do some real testing, go through vorbize to see if
there's anything else that looks useful, add it if there is, and release
the first actually usable (for people other than me) version.
I've actually already changed the wav header reading so it should work
cross-platform (tested on solaris/sparc at least, successfully), but it's a
bit messy.
