[vorbis] hardware ogg vorbis decoder

TI and other DSP chips are actually not that expensive anymore. Most, if not
all, of the portable MP3 players use DSP instead of ASIC. You can even put
the decoding program inside the flash media, like the RCA Lyra. This way,
you can have Vorbis player almost instantly. Come to think of it, if someone
port the code to the TI 54xx platform, which the Lyra uses, then you can
listen to Vorbis encoded music on the Lyra.

I am indeed thinking of the portable market. Like this design
http://www2s.biglobe.ne.jp/~elm/reports/mpc/report_e.html but instead of
using a MAS3507D mp3 decoder I would like to see an OggVorbis decoder chip.
true market acceptance is when these walkman style products are on the
shelves. They only get this cheap because of mass produced hardware
decoders, decoding it with a TI or other DSP is all well and good but the
one who makes an ASIC that does it makes more money. Doing a VHDL model and
running that in an FPGA is the only way a company is going to be willing to
take that step. An open design hardware Vorbis decoder will have every chip
manufacturer competing with each other for price.

Ultimately this means a cheap Vorbis Walkman/Rio style products.

...use of respective TM's used without asking :) but in good faith...
