If you really want to do this (it's a bad idea. You probably don't), you
must explicitly state that it is placed in the public domain. If you do
this, you should also remove all the copyright notices from your files.
Public domain stuff can't be copyright as well. The presence of the
copyright notices in the individual files contradicts the 'license' section
of your readme.
I would imagine that actually using this code implicitly puts it under a
more restrictive license (i.e. whatever the qt license is), but I'm not
sure about that.
I suggest just putting it under a very-free license (like BSD) - that
basically says "Copyright, but use it for whatever the hell you want, I'm
not responsible".
