[Vorbis-dev] ov_bitrate_instant return

hi,

i'm trying to get the highest bitrate from a vbr vorbis file. i took the 
example from https://xiph.org/vorbis/doc/vorbisfile/vorbisfile_example_c.html 
and used ov_bitrate_instant() after the fwrite call. however the values i get 
seem a little high. so i wondered, does ov_bitrate_instant() return the bitrate 
per second like the values i get from ov_info/vorbis_info or summed for the 
timespan since calling it last?

any insight would be appreciated
