Yes, I've been testing svn trunk too with the same results (and in the
same hope!).
I've also gone back to 1.1.2 - that's the same.

WIth trunk, I'm getting testsuite failures:
    vorbis_44100.ogg     : Error : max_abs (0.000000) too small.
    vorbis_48000.ogg     : Error : max_abs (0.000000) too small.
    vorbis_32000.ogg     : Error : max_abs (0.000000) too small.
    vorbis_22050.ogg     : Error : max_abs (0.000000) too small.
    vorbis_16000.ogg     : Error : max_abs (0.000000) too small.
    vorbis_96000.ogg     : Error : max_abs (0.000000) too small.
with output files

If anyone would like to look into this I can make a suitable machine
