Yes, it would be nice if ogg123 handled multiplexed streams, if only so 
it didn't choke on theora files. The main problem there is that 
vorbisfile doesn't handle multiplexing. Resolving that would be one fix. 
Rewriting ogg123 to support theora would be another, since you get 
multiplexed vorbis handling for free, but that's a bigger project.

Note that there's already an 'oggzmerge' utility that can interleave 
multiple vorbis files.
