Right, but I didn't say minimal combinations.  According to the
textbook I'm using for the linguistics class this semester:

: A minimal pair consists of two forms with distinct meanings that
: differ by only one segment found in the same position in each
: form. The examples [sip] and [zip] given previously form a minimal
: pair and show that the sounds [s] and [z] contrast in English.

I'd like to try a few comparisons, then.

I kinda figured this would be the case, but I decided it would be
useful to compare some speech codecs with some non-speech ones. Thanks
