I'm not sure at what point the carriage returns got added.  They aren't in 
the file I attached, but they do appear in the version stored in the list 
archives.  A good copy of ao_au.c is attached for your convenience, 
although using a utility to fix the file should work as well.

(Thanks to whomever committed the driver to CVS, BTW.)
