For a Douglas Adams-ism that's not a V word, you could take a cue from
Long Dark Tea-time of the Soul and call it "(Toe) Rag", "(Hot) Potato",
"Green-eye", "Fridge", or "(Clive or Cynthia) Draycott".  Hmm....  Ogg
Potato seems like a nice pun.  ;-)
