Proper etiquette is to not have the header mangled by the mailing list, ie.
use the reply-all or reply-group function to reply to the list, and reserve
reply for private/offlist replies. Ok, so thats not really etiquette :) .
Normally one would try and apolise with a lot of weak smileys, without
quoting the entire message. If it was an insulting email, especially about a
boss etc who also recieves the list, then one would change identities and
move state, or beg for their job. ;-)
