Ever tried splitting a jpg to HSV? Give it a shot in Gimp or so, and
look at the Hue and Saturation channels. I don't know...I still prefer
something lossless (and easy to load, I looked at libpng once and maybe
I'm just stupid but it was hugely complicated to me).
