Surprisingly the same test program ran fine on NT and 95.  Now that I
know (with your help) it is not a problem with vorbis, I suspect it is
a bizzare problem with Borland's realloc function and Windows 2000.
After creating and using my own realloc, the problem disappeared
completely.
