Well, I never understood the point of all of that extra object crap they
threw in the MPEG-4 standard. I just want what MPEG-1/2 provide for
video but with higher quality and at lower bitrates due to better
algorithms. BUT, I also don't want to deal with the restrictions patent
owners place on the use of MPEG-4, which is why I was wondering if/when
this Ogg/Tarkin video codec could reach beta with quality at least 10x
better than MPEG-2.
