Also, AltiVec on the PowerPC only supports single-precision floating 
point, not double-precision.  I don't know anything certain about 
Intel and AMD's vector processors, but I imagine they're similar in 
this respect.

(Of course, I also don't know the inner workings of the Vorbis math, 
so I can't say if it would actually be useful to vectorize it.)
