Well, autogen.sh told me I _do_ need them. As there is no configure supplied,
I downloaded the cruft. And, of course, it doesn't work; it says my
"file" command
doesn't tell if a file is a shared library. It really does this too good
for libtool,
it seems; I suspect the little bugger only knows about some fixed
strings, or
something.

At the end, I just wrote a small Makefile myself. All is well now.

Oh, and I needed to install the ogg shared libraries to compile vorbis,
while I
only compiled static stuff.

Getting rid of libtool now... for me, it doesn't save time.
