Exactly, but in this case the original author checked them in in text
mode, so they have ended up in the repository with Unix newlines. If
people then check out in binary mode on Win32, they'll get the wrong
newlines. I've already seen this happen to a lot of people doing
Win32 development with CVS servers. :)

These .dsw and .dsp (and sometimes .opt) files should in general NOT
be merged or patched, and must therefore always be checked in in
binary mode (-k b option).

Maybe it would even be better to split off such platform- or
compiler-specific project files into a separate module.
