[vorbis-dev] `make install` doesn't work

I've just done a CVS checkout and all builds fine but make install
doesn't work.

[root at yavin vorbis]# make install
cat install.sh >install 
chmod a+x install
[root at yavin vorbis]# 

At this point both install.sh and install are empty.
