Turns out i still have the same problem building this one.  you can fix
the build process by just removing fft-ffmpeg.lo from the patch
entirely, as it should be cleanly re-generated by the normal build
system.  leaving it in there makes the build process think that the
corresponding .o is already present, i think.

i haven't had time to profile the patch yet on my hardware.
