[tremor] 16bit -> 8bit Question

Hello,

can somebody help me please, I want to get 8bit sound data from ov_read(...), but ov_read can only return 16bit sounds.
There is CLIP_TO_15 function, but not CLIP_TO_8. My attempts to write so a Function unfortunately failed, I got only very rushed sounds back. Can anyone post something, that can help me thereby?
