I have no idea what this thread is about, but you might want to look at
the Elphel Apertus project:

They are trying to take an Elphel camera and add all the stuff needed to
make it a convenient high-end portable videocamera.  Present work seems
to be mostly on the control interface.  The roadmap calls for Dirac Pro
output if possible.
