But not ffmpeg, which, by default, doesn't clobber existing files.  This
can, perhaps, be confusing to people that have worked with ffmpeg before
and assumed ffmpeg2* work the same.  Your statement remains true, and I
know you also know what I'm talking about, but I just thought I'd
clarify for others what I think is implied but not explicitly stated in
the original message.  I also experience the same moment of confusion
when it first happened, but in my case, I'm fine with clobbering files. 
They usually deserve it, anyway...
