I'm having a problem with the Windows Media Player. Any avi/wmv/others that I try to download I receive the following error:
Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.
Someone told me to go to this URL: http://www.vp3.com/cgi-bin/getvp3.pl
And download this video codec and install divx.
Problems: This URL doesn't exist plus I'm a CCIE and I'm not a software person. I need this fixed so that I can look at infrastructure diag's........
I would appreciate any URL you can point me to or any assistance for my very intermediate software knowledge.
Thanks so much for your help
