I was actually trying to be funny, sorry. :)

I've talked with David quite a few times about adding functionality  
like this to thunderbird and I think he's keen to do so.  They will  
pick up the next rev of the platform and will be able to play pretty  
easily.  Going to recording + sending is another issue - we need  
someone to write portable video + audio collection code for quicktime,  
windows and linux.
