We have started organizing for Summer of Code 2009 :)

Please add project ideas on the

I know many that have mentored students (myself included) have been
disappointed with summer of code student results.  With efforts put into
mentoring not always > than results of just doing the coding yourself. 
A few ideas where raised over IRC on how to improve things and we are
going to give it try again :)

Looking back at soc 08 wiki page... while we did not have many student
successes but at least the idea page helped lay some conceptual
groundwork for moving froward. ie the oggpusher idea has transfored into
j^ great firefogg project and Maikmerten has made patches to java theora
decoing to have cortado support a more complete set of the bitstream
features.

Anyway If people have time to add some ideas to the SOC project page
that would be great :)
