ffmpeg2theora does not cope well with some wmv files (they report wrong fps).
It produces broken results even with manual fps setting.
IIRC then the only way to do a good theora movie is to use mencoder (to mpeg4
or alike), then theora-encoder script on the resulting file.
(ffmpeg2theora has problems even with that resulting intermediate file).

Apparently either originally broken (non-conformant) files,
or bugs in the corresponding decoder library.

It does not seem to be related to theora.
(I saw reports on other, non-theora recoders breaking on such files,
"DRM in action?"...)
