If you could answer some newbie questions that would be nice:

Will the example encoder produce any better results in 1.0? For example
will the encoded file be smaller or of better quality than now or...?
What is the difference between

and
http://svn.xiph.org/trunk/theora/examples/encoder_example.c
?
Which one should I use (on GNU/Linux)?
