Actually, to the extent that this is documenting VP3 and part of the 
ffmpeg re-implementation (under the GPL) I think the GFDL is fine for 
now, and not a bad choice in general for specifications, which don't 
"need" to be as free as a codec reference implementation.

Mike, I hope you don't mind, I checked your doc into theora cvs; it's a 
great reference even at its current state of completion. Let me know 
what you decide for the license; that should probably be clarified 
before we ship it in a release.
