narrowband 8kbps, complexity 1. This runs in about 25 MIPs for Speex
1.2-beta1 for encoder and decoder. The MIPs will be a lot higher for 24.6
kbps mode, but most of the processing is in the encoder. I am planning to
run some tests with the latest Speex code in the next few days, and I will try
to set up a 24.6kbps test at that time, and post the result. Or, you can
try the build yourself on the TI simulator, and play with the settings as you
wish.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Note that the sample build has no assembly
optimizations, but Jean-Marc's fixed point macros do a good job of leading
the compiler to produce efficient code. If you are concerned about
resources on the C55x, memory might be a bigger concern than MIPs, if you are
running only the decoder.</FONT></DIV>
