[Speex-dev] Problem with VAD in Encoder-Unable to generate CN even zeros given as input

Dear Jean-Marc

the VAD in encoder is not advanced than in pre-processor so i decided to
use VAD in pre-processor but the real problem comes while encoding the
silence frames(all zeros) as they must be replaced by comfort noise(CN)

What changes can i do to the VAD of encoder to make it generate CN when the
input is zeros,

Interesting the encoder is only able to generate CN in only few silent
frames and not in all silent frames


Why this uncertainty ?
