Even if it could, there would be no need or advantages to do so.

The problems with CD-Audio "ripping" are related to the process of 
reading the physical CD media, which does not have a true file system on 
it and may produce incorrect results.

An image is a file, there are no problems reading it (and possibly 
converting it to a set of "normal" audio files).

OTOH, if the image have been produced from a physical CD audio media 
(rather then generated from files on a computer), any problem or error 
which may have occurred during the "ripping" (read) process of the CD 
have been irrecoverably embedded in the image.

No processing applied to an image can detect or fix any such error.
