Hello, You didn't mention which version of paranoia you're using (and which kernel). SATA cdroms have not been generally available until recently, and there turned out to be a few kernel bugs w.r.t handing them. In addition, the cdparanoia 10 prerelease attempts to use the most recent kernel features to talk to them. Monty
