[paranoia] Mono

Hello,

I have some CDs that are explicitly marked as mono.  I must have
understood something incorrectly.  When I extract raw audio from
those mono CDs, shouldn't the 'left' samples the same as the
'right' samples?  This is not what I am seeing here; the data is
never the same.  Anyone willing to explain this?
