<p>I am still getting the same "error while loading shared libraries" when 
trying run a static build.

Are you assuming that I have an installation of cdparanoia installed 
already? I had an rpm installed but I de-installed it since I want to 
compile the source.

Do I need to reverse whatever changes ldconfig made, since I ran it 
after doing make install?
