[paranoia] can't rip track 1

Hi,
I recently started using cdparanoia. Everthing works fine, except I
can't rip track 1 of my CD's. I read the FAQ and found that there was a
problem between 9.3 and 9.5, but I use 9.8. Here is my output (-v):

Progress bar stopped and nothing happens (no heartbeat). All the other
tracks work fine. Has anybody a clue?
