Only that audio ripping doesn't work for a lot of people, but you
already knew that.  I ended up moving my CD-ROM onto a Promise Ultra100
(leaving my CD-R/W on the VIA controller).  Audio ripping seems to work
through this controller, even though the kernel guys specifically say
that ATAPI devices won't work on add-in controllers.
