[paranoia] splitting sound files?

Hi, Ralph!

Trying to kill the keyboard, Ralph Corderoy
(ralph at inputplus.demon.co.uk) produced 1,2K in 35 lines:

In that case there are at least 2 posibilities:
- use GNU split
- gripe at your vendor to give you a usable split :-)
